Floating voltage will damage the whole system input or output port. It is the most common reasons for system failure. If the signal source is not properly grounded, it will create floating voltae and damage GeoBox input port. If it happens in the display side, it will damage GeoBox output port.
The floating voltage in the system mainly comes from not grounding or poor grounding in power supply system. Another reason is that the devices in the whole system is not connected from the same Power Distribution Box and some of the power supply system is not correctly grounded. It may create voltage difference among devices. We propose to avoid this kind of failure through below ways.
1. To connect all the devices from the same power distribution box with good grounding.
2. Use mutliple meter or voltage test pen to check if there is any voltage difference in the system. The voltage difference among different device housing or between the HDMI cable housings and human body should be under 0.5V. If higher than this voltage, please check the system grounding condition.
2. Please power on the system after finished all connections.
3. To avoid hot plug in the system will reduce the chance for the damage.
